Adele, the British singer, has made a lot of people smile with her delightfully raspy voice over the years. However, it was really her clothes she has been giving people a hard time. There have been countless times when Adele’s outfit has completely livened up a red carpet.
Usually, Adele can be seen in flowing dresses and bare legs. However, during her sit-down with Oprah Winfrey on Sunday, Adele revealed that she wanted her white pantsuit to make a statement. “I love wearing colour, but I was wearing white pants and people didn’t understand why,” she told Oprah. “I thought, ‘Why don’t I change the conversation?’ And not just in the music business or with fashion, but just to myself. I’ve got the most amazing body, and people were like, ‘What the hell are you wearing?’”
Oprah was not worried that the 29-year-old singer was turning heads in the ensemble. She was talking about how she was recently assigned a stylist, who gives her clothes that people respond well to. She thought the white pantsuit was the perfect choice. “When she showed me the picture of the pantsuit, I was like, ‘Well done, girl,’” she said. “I think there’s an elegance and a cohesiveness to it that I’m super flattered by.”
While the jacket with bold buttoned-up sleeves on Adele’s suit was fun, it was her “unbuttoned” legs that really made the outfit. Those simple yet chic bottoms drew people’s eyes — people weren’t seeing any knee-high split or too-short shorts, which tend to be seen on performers like Ariana Grande, Rihanna, and Halsey. People didn’t even see a slit in the top of the skirt or a long slit in the pants. It was simply a pair of white pants with a buttoned-up blazer and adorably short shorts, and the outfit makes for a confident woman and a great example of mixing up your looks without ruining any shine.
