A 27-year-old man died Wednesday after being shot over the weekend in Brampton, police said.
Police were called to a house in the 3200 block of Boulevards Drive just after 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, where they found the man suffering from gunshot wounds, police said.
He was transported to a hospital in critical condition, where he later died.
The man’s name has not been released.
No arrests have been made in the shooting, and police said no suspect information has been released.
“Our Homicide Unit are in charge of the investigation,” Supt. Eric Gibson, of the Major Crime Unit, said at an evening news conference Wednesday, referring to the Brampton Police. “As the week goes on we’ll lay charges, those charges, once we have enough facts in hand.”
The Brampton Police had been called to the same home over the weekend on a missing person’s matter, though there were no signs of foul play, police said.
