Tickets go on sale today for An Evening with Alan Doyle: Amazing Stories of Canada, the ninth annual festival, which will feature storytelling and other special presentations.
The tales will draw inspiration from An Evening with Alan Doyle, Doyle’s forthcoming album An Evening with Alan Doyle. Doyle will first perform “Tell Tale Harbour”, the story he wrote for his debut album, the 2014 LP Wake Up Call, a collection that tells the story of a farmer in the small town of Wakefield, Ontario, who endures a series of unfortunate circumstances before coming full circle. The project touched on personal themes about growing up, life and mortality, and made Doyle a household name. “An Evening with Alan Doyle” will follow, which is when his unique perspective on Canada will truly shine through.
The festival is scheduled to run from Friday 3 to Saturday 6 November, with a “sneak preview” in Charlottetown on Wednesday 4 November. Tickets are available at ticketweb.ca, from the festival’s website, or at the door. All artists featured in the show are travelling with the festival.
